Chef Matthew Stallings came to realize at a very young age that the culinary industry was calling to him. After graduating from South Western High School in Hanover, PA, Stallings went on to receive his formal education at the Pennsylvania Culinary Institute in Pittsburgh. For twelve years, Chef Stallings worked tirelessly at the Hilton Harrisburg to grow his skills as a chef. In December 2012, Matt decided to take his career to the next level, and became the Executive Chef of Home 231. Since arriving at Home, Chef continues to amaze his staff and guests. His seasonally inspired menus keeps everyone wondering what great dish he will create next. His soft spoken presence and hands-on technique in the kitchen is a style that demands respect from everyone that comes in contact with him.
Melissa Kellogg is the General Manager of Home 231. She is from Williamsport, PA and graduated from Shippensburg University with a degree in Psychology. Melissa was a member of the Shippensburg University Women's Soccer team and is now an avid runner and part of the Carol's Crue running group. Melissa began her career working with underprivileged youth, and after moving to Harrisburg in 2009, she began working at Cafe Fresco Center City part time while working at a school specializing in the autism spectrum and behavioral disorders. Although Melissa was very passionate in her career, her love for the restaurant industry continued to grow. Melissa helped open Home 231 in 2011 and became the General Manager in 2012, excelling at this position due to her passion for the restaurant, attention to detail, and her limitless drive for success.
A manager at Home 231 for just over a year, Dashiell brings 10 years restaurant experience to the team, including five for the Laus Group. From dishwasher to line cook to waiter, Dashiell has worked in all areas of restaurants, and uses his knowledge to help Home 231 offer the best possible experience to our guests.
Recently married, Dashiell spends his time away from the restaurant with his family and on the battlefields of Xbox Live.
